I talked about The law that was presented in front of the US House of Reps on May 3rd 2007. It was passed 237 to 180, to see who voted view the Final Roll Call. This is a historic vote that will protect the GLBT community from the oppression of the Majority against the Minority. This law protects a lot more then just the GLBT community it also protects Women and Disabled Americans, whom under the previous laws would not of been covered. To see more information check out the HRC’s website reguarding this historic vote, or view the bill (HR 1592) as passed by the house, yourself!

Just the Senate now, then to the President (he said he will veto it… lets not go there).

As a side note, I was happy to find that my repdid co sponser this bill, and she voted for it! She is Louise McIntosh Slaughter. To find if your rep co-sponsored it you can go to the HRC’s Website for a listing. To see if they voted for or against visit the Final Roll Call.
