Resigning

I handed this in at work today:

Dear -Insert Name of Director of HR here-:

This letter is to inform you that effective Thursday 31 August 2006 (End of pay period 18), I -Insert My Name Here- will be forced to resign from my Page position at the -Insert Work Name here-. This is because starting Tuesday 5 September 2006, I will resume my studies and I will not be able to maintain my current academic standing and still work the minimum hour amount of fourteen hours that is currently mandated. I regret the fact that I must resign, but my studies are more important than a part-time job at this point in time. I am sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused, and I hope this is sufficient time to find a replacement for my position.

Sincerely Yours,

I’m really sorry to hear that, Josh. Obviously, your studies come first though. I thought something like that might be up when I heard you had a note for Susan. Meant to ask you about it but it slipped my mind the only time I saw you alone on the Tier and I didn’t want to chat about it with other people around since I didn’t know if it had anything to do with that nastiness with Anne-which I don’t really know the extent of. Sort of a relief that it isn’t quite that bad and you reasons for leaving more mundane, less dramatic. Still, it’s too bad. I’ll miss you.
