PC Issues

Tuesday, May 30th, 2006

For yall that I talk to often, you may know that I have been having PC issues. I have figured out why winblows has not been booting. That is because I have bad capacitors on a gigabyte motherboard. For more infomation on bad caps go to http://www.badcaps.net I have to more or less get a new motherboard. Right now the PC is working in Linux, but near no hope of it working in windows. I will be posting hardware pages up here soon, stuff I am looking at that I most likely will buy. But at the moment I am in the market for a Laptop, below are the specs more or less. If you know a good place other then ebay email me @ joshua at wolfnix dot net (spammer DIE!). Talk to yall later.

Summer has started

Saturday, May 27th, 2006

Mornin, I am writing this at 747 am before I have to leave for work on a Saturday, why am I up >.< ...

I got my final grades for school and I was happy with them :

American Government I:   A
Environmental Science:    A
Improvement College Writing II:  A-
Elementary Algebra I II:  C+

I ended up with a 4.0 GPA, because the Writing and the Algebra classes are non credit bearing classes, so thats all good.

Work is doing alrite, this is the second Saturday in a row I have been asked to work overtime because of staff shortage, so I guess I am in demand lately. Last week we had no senior staff for most of the day and only two regular staff members besides myself. It is all good, because I need the extra money, an  extra $35.75 can do something.

I did get a seasonal at work starting June 10th, that is thirty-five hours a week for four months, it shall be fun. My work schedule I think will be Monday 9-12, Tuesday off, Wednesday 9-6, Thursday 11-8 (or 9-6 depends), Friday 9-6 and Saturday 9-12. Fun fill and fun packs summer right there.

I am doing my summer class now (American History I), it is alrite. The teacher’s text is a lil weird tho, it is not really ‘clear’ on what it means, at least it was like that in Chapter I, the wording is less then undesirable, on top of that the text questions are worded just the same. This is going to be a long couple of weeks with this class.

Well It is time to get ready for work, see y’all later.

off for another $57.20, and a weekends worth of stress.

Peace

Da Vinci Code

Saturday, May 20th, 2006

Yesterday was fun, Kimi, Sabrina and I seen The Da Vinci Code which was based off a novel by Dan Brown called The Da Vinci Code It was a good movie, mostly if you read the book and you are not a religious zelious. The only real negative thing I can say about the movie is that they made it to church “friendly”, they removed some of the main plot line things, the background of the Opus Dei, well the background that was in the book, I do not know the real background of them. Other then removing that and a couple other things I can not think of right now, they removed the romantic stresses that went on between Langdon and Sophie. They did not have the tension at all, they did not even shack up in the end of the movie like they do in the book. They also changed the ending completely because in the book Sophie’s Grandmother is the one who tells Langdon information about her, where Mary Magdlon was moved (or hinted at it), and the Grandmother reuinited Sophie and her brother; this happened in the book. With all these things missing including the romantic tensions the movie watcher could not get hooked into the movie unless they were interested in these type of things. I would see it again or buy it on dvd, but thats just me.

The Da Vinci Code

Fun times ahead

Thursday, May 18th, 2006

Tomorrow Kimi, Sabrina and I are going to the movies. Before the movies were going to Jim Steak Out (I have never been, they say it is great).  We are prob going to see Da Vinci Code, or whatever we decide to see. It will be awesome!
Only one of my grades are in, as in defiantly my final grade. It is Elementary Algebra I & II, which is my worst class.  I got a C+ on it, I technically failed the exam which should of keep me in the class but she passed me anyways.  Dr. Sam, Anything bad I said about you I take that back! I said before that I got an A in Government, but he has not submitted his grades yet since today is the last day of class.  I got an A on my English exam, but I am not sure on the average itself. My environmental teacher said I got a A in his class, but that also is not in yet since today was the last day of his class also.  I drop my World Civ class; I do not feel like having my whole summer eaten up because of these extra classes. I am still taking the American History class. This is mainly because I already paid for the book and what not, but I do love American history in general.
Work is alrite. I get to work with Sabrina a lot! That rawks. Before she only work on Saturdays and since I only worked 9-12 we hardly got to see each other, other when I had lunch with her of course. Now we work Wednesdays together and it rawks!!  She is on seasonal, Susan still is telling me that she has 1) No seasonal positions left or 2) That she has not heard anything.. This royally blows, because she asked someone else if they wanted to go on seasonal recently, recently as in after I asked.  Yea I know that sucks! BUT! I will not let that get me down because Sabrina and I will get to hang out lots and we are going to try to see a lot of movies this summer. It will be cool!!

Peace

Almost the end!

Saturday, May 13th, 2006

Hallo,

It is almost the end of the semester at ECC, but the next starts very soon for me. I am taking (as I have said before) two summer classes. One in Summer Session I, and one in Summer Session II.

I have found out most of my grades from my classes. I have an A in Enviromental Science (PH-120), an A in American Goverment I (GO-101). These are the two non remedial courses and only ones (If I am not mistasken) that count towards my GPA/QPA (Deans List here I come!!)

I got an A on my EN-021 Imporvment in College Writing Exam but I am not sure what my Average is… I have my Elementray Algrebra I and II exam On tuesday, That is the only thing I have to go to school for at all. Other then buying my last textbook, ofcourse.

Work is alrite, They were planning on fireing anyone who can not work 19 hours after the summer, but that would wipe our deptarment out. I told them I was leaving in September, but that may not happen right away. I may wait till I absoultly can not work there anymore because of class. It will be hard this semester but next will be damn near impossiable. I did get workstudy with school but it is only for 5-6 hours a week. Not bad but this is partily what is keeping me at the Library.

All of my posts are now being crossposted to LiveJournal as a backup medium, and to keep in touch with the LJ population that are my frenids and family. The link is http://wolfnix.livejournal.com/ any comments should be places here, but whatever.

Fall 2006 Registration

Tuesday, May 2nd, 2006

Hey,

I was finally able to register for fall classes after so much trouble, hehe. I went to see my adviser during spring break, so I knew what I had to take etc etc.. Registration started May 1st (Yesterday), and the school wants us to register online. Of course I had to fish my information out because I forgot it, but when I found it WebAdvisor would not let me register for the classes. That upset me after being told it would work. I called the school help desk and not an Answering Machine, If you know me you know I HATE leaving messages, but oh well. I proceeded to call the Registrar’s Office, they said they had noting to do with WebAdvisor, so they tried to input the classes manually via DataTel and it worked yay ^_^. I was happy I was able to register with no problem, because this is the First Semester I am taking courses within my major, if I did not start now I would be behind more then I am now and that would not be cool, because I want to graduate on time. My Major is Telecommunication Technology (Link to Major Description) incase some of yall did not know that.

It is almost the end of the semester. It ends on the 20th which is a Saturday but my last class day is the 18th. FUN!, My first exam starts on the 8th (English) and another one on the 16th (Math). I have two tests coming up also on the 11th (Government) and the 16th (Environmental). After that I have summer classes which are in Summer Session I 2006 (05/22/2006-06/29/2006) and Summer Session II 2006 (07/05/2006-08/15/2006). One in each session. Below is my course selections for the Summer, along with Fall 2006 (09/05/2006-12/21/2006). I still have to buy books for the summer classes, That will be a bent in my wallet, For one classes it is a CD which is $35 and the other is a book priced at $80 new, I hope they have some used copies. I am thinking of using my banking bonuses to pay for the bulk of it, Thats alot of money…

Well Have a Good Day yall, I am heading to bed it is just a little after 12AM here in Buffalo. ~Josh
