Hello Everyone,
Sorry for not updating but life has gotten the better of me.. My last day of work at the library is tomorrow.. Kimi and Sabrina already left, as did Pat. Cameron’s last day is today, so basically I am the last man out.. I do feel sorry that I am leave because I male the staff lost count for this month 11 pages. Six pages resigned, two quit and two were fired. Basically there scrambling to get the people and get them trained asap! We had close to 25 people and now there at 9 (11 including new people) and only 6 of them can shelve on the open shelve. Anyways….
School starts new week!! I finally finished my schedule after wanting to change my major twice (Telecomm to CIS and Telecomm to Gen ed).. In finally finished my “changes” I am in he General Education program which are just what the state requires people to take if you want a Bachelors in New York State (required courses not that program prsay).
I am taking College Composition (EN110), College Math T (MT125), Public Speaking (EN410), Accounting (BU200) and Macroeconomics (EC102). All of them except BU200 are gen ed courses. All of these courses will transfer to Alfred State.
On that note, I applied to Alfred State for Fall of 2007, if I stayed at ECC for F’07 I would have the required credits to obtain a Liberal Arts degree, but I find finishing it to be a waste of money, because any more courses I would have to take (Open College Courses), would not transfer to Alfred State. I applied the week of the 7th, sent my transcripts the 15th. I called today tho, and they have only gotten the application, not my transcripts. That’s two weeks, oh well I will let it go another two before I start bitching..
My work study has finally panned out. I start it the 5th of September, which is the first day of school.. I will be working at the Open Computing Lab at City campus, six hours a week.. I will be making 6$.75 an hour, this is a big drop from the library ($7.15/hour @ 19 hours a week) but at least it is something.
Other then that everything is fine with me. I have been doing much of noting other then a few interesting weekends, and spending time with Kim (I hung out with her at her house on the 22nd). My computer is on the fritz *again*, and now I can not boot into windows, which means I can’t update my iPod :(. Linux has been shutting down on me at least once a day, and it gives random IRQ errors. I basically have to restart the computer, or shut it of giving it a ‘”time-out” before I can use it again, this is one of he reasons I have not been online much, as of late, and work has taken up alot of my time, and what free time I have I have been spending with Kimi or Sabrina (I hung out with Sabrina for coffee on Sunday, that was cool).
Anywho, not much left this week but work, tomorrow is my last day (YAY!!). That afternoon I am suppose to be meeting up with Karin (the lady who runs the lab at school), and then Friday I work at my mother’s stand. This is instead of the now Saturdays I am suppose to work, because this Saturday I am buying my books for school. At the moment my books at being priced at $399 before taxes, and this is not including my English book which has not been listed yet.. Oh well books for school are always expensive..
Well I must be going now, I am on my lunch break at work and I have 30 mins left before I start again, I am on tier b doing much of noting, which is no different from any other day.
