Passport Arrived!!

I have finally received my passport! It took less time then they said it would. The Dept. of State estimated 10 to 12 weeks, they got it done in 8. I was worried I would not get it before I moved, and it was being sent to my Buffalo address. I called and informed them as such, they switched the address and had it completed by August 1st and overnighted to the apartment in Milford. I was floored. I had Chris mail it to me, so I would have it for ID reasons. I just happened to lose my NYS ID later that day too. I did find it yesterday, got my passport today.

Now you may be asking, why do I have a passport? I am moving to NH, to live with my soul-mate, why would I need to leave? Let me list them!

  1. The movement of the US government shows that you will be required to have a National ID, within the next five years.
  2. To enter a federal building soon, you need a ID card or form of ID approved by them, most state ID’s unless they conform with the real id act fall under this. A Passport does
  3. If I get a job that may require to journey overseas on short notice having a passport makes me more valuable.
  4. At the time of applying, I had been planning on going to Alfred State, where I was applying for a Study Aboard program. I had the money, I wouldn’t then.
  5. A passport is a solid form of ID, given I lost my NYS ID (but found it), a passport would solve ID requirements at DMV’s.

So there ya are!!! Passport for me, yay! Its all cool and snazzy and yayness.

Talk to ya later!!!

Letter of Recommendation

My boss wrote me this, I was very very surprised. Thank You!!

To Whom It May Concern:

Joshua Altemoos has been employed at The Central Library as a page since 10/2004. In that time I have been his supervisor. Joshua has been an asset to our department providing customer service to our patrons. During his employment, the Central Library has undergone several renovation projects and Joshua has been instrumental in the major shifting of material required to complete them. With our collection of 4 million books, it is essential that material is shelved and shifted correctly. Joshua has never hesitated to ask questions if he is unsure, and thus prevented errors from taking place. Joshua has not only adhered well to his schedule, he was also willing to adjust his schedule when necessary to provide adequate departmental coverage. He was also cross- trained to assist in the Request Department, and willingly helped there when needed. He has also assisted in training new employees when required.

Joshua’s communication skills, attitude, and quickness to learn should be of
benefit throughout his working life.

Sincerely,
